Siobhan Roberts writes for The New Yorker's online science section, “Elements,” Nautilus, Quanta, and The Walrus. At various times has contributed to The Guardian, Smithsonian, The Boston Globe, The Globe and Mail, Leonardo, The Mathematical Intelligencer, Maisonneuve, Canadian Geographic and The New York Times “Science Times.”
She is an occasional Director’s Visitor at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, and is the author of three scientific biographies. While working on her latest book, Genius at Play, The Curious Mind of John Horton Conway, she was a Fellow at the Leon Levy Center for Biography, at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. Her first book, King of Infinite Space, won the MAA’s Euler Prize for expanding the public’s view of mathematics. She is based in Toronto.
